The Lucky Onion is a family of design-led hotels and country pubs, owned and run by husband and wife duo, Julian and Jade Dunkerton. They represent a seasoned version of Cotswold culture, stylish without any snobbery. Each property embodies the standards of the city with the hospitality of the country.

We were briefed to create an online presence and digital marketing strategy accessible enough to accommodate every house in the group whilst showcasing their individuality and varied USPs.


Firstly, the team formed online brand personas for each property individually, taking into account tone, style, and the signature experiences offered at each hotel or restaurant. This approach, alongside a carefully considered user experience and booking strategy, created the foundation for creating individual property sites that were unmistakably Lucky Onion. We then looked at the online marketing activity. Creating marketing campaigns that balanced individual character with increasing the recognition of the main brand. Through creative concepts and brand cross-pollination, we continue to achieve impressive ROI and conversion.
