Overview
Soneva's five-star resorts – Soneva Fushi and Soneva Jani in the Maldives and Soneva Kiri in Koh Kood, Thailand – are home to unique overwater, beachfront, and ocean view villas. The resorts' ethos is a balance between sensory and sustainability, creating moments that will truly last a lifetime.
Challenge
After a successful pitch, we began revitalising the online path to the resorts. Alongside the websites, digital marketing was unfocused, so we needed a holistic approach.
Approach
The Soneva brand has a successful and sustainable heritage, with visionary owners who knew precisely where they wanted to take the brand. The main goal was to represent this with the guest and brand at the forefront of our minds. Once the website was completed, the task was to build a strategy around USPs, guest demographics and extensive research to create a digital marketing approach to drive exposure and generate direct bookings while staying true to the brand essence and championing their responsible and international appeal.
Since partnering with Journey, we have seen a 40% increase in our direct revenue and a 23% uplift in direct bookings, equating to an additional $2.9M through online transactions.
