The hotel:

The Oakley Court is a luxury country house hotel located in the heart of Windsor in rural Berkshire. With 118 bedrooms, an award-winning restaurant and a variety of function spaces, it’s a popular destination for a relaxing break, wedding or corporate event. Overlooking the River Thames, it has previously been the location for a number film sets including The Rocky Horror Show and more recently, The Theory of Everything.

The story:

Not many hotels have as rich a cultural history as The Oakley Court in Windsor. Just a stone’s through away from Windsor Castle, and once the home of Hammer film studios, culture, location and history were at the forefront of the design concept for this website.

We worked with their current visual branding and our content team helped to redevelop their tone of voice. As the famous set of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many other gothic and cult classics, we ensured that this important part of the estate’s history was at the forefront, scattering the web copy with cinematic and film references.

The Oakley Court is a luxury country house hotel and our development, search, design and content teams worked together to ensure its many unique qualities shone through, while also ensuring we delivered conversion focused content and secured a place high up in search engine rankings, encouraging more organic reach.
